1. Who we are
Carport Energy Group (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps commercial-property owners in the United States evaluate solar carports. This policy applies to carportenergygroup.com and information you provide to us through advertising, email, phone, or text. For privacy questions or requests, email support@carportenergygroup.com.
2. Information we collect
- Contact and business details: your name, email address, telephone number, company, and role, when you provide them.
- Property and project details: property address and type, parking area, project goals, utility provider, and any electricity-use or estimated monthly-bill information you choose to share. Bill estimates are optional.
- Communications and preferences: inquiry details, correspondence, consent choices, and requests to stop contact.
- Lead-form information: answers you submit through our Facebook or Instagram lead forms, along with available submission dates, form or ad identifiers, and consent records.
- Technical information: our hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser or device details, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. We also use short-lived, hashed network identifiers to limit abusive form submissions.
Our assessment forms send the details you enter to a private lead inbox accessible to the site owner. We record the submission time, your optional marketing choices, and the disclosure text shown with the form. Email links open your email app; opening one does not send a message. Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, payment-card details, or other sensitive information. If you share a utility bill, remove account and payment details that are not needed for the review.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, assess property needs and potential electricity savings, coordinate requested next steps, provide support, and keep records of our communications. We may also use it to send relevant information about our services, subject to the consent and communication choices described below; understand which ads generate inquiries; prevent misuse; and meet legal obligations.
We use information received from Meta lead forms for the purposes disclosed in the form and this policy. A materially different use that requires additional permission will require that permission first.
4. Phone calls, texts, and email
We may respond to your inquiry using the contact details you provide. Marketing calls, texts, and emails are subject to applicable law and your choices. Where required, we obtain your prior express written consent before sending marketing texts or making marketing calls using automated dialing technology or an artificial or prerecorded voice.
Reading this policy, visiting the website, or submitting an inquiry is not, by itself, consent to automated marketing calls or texts. Any required marketing consent is requested separately at the point of collection. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services. We respect applicable contact-hour restrictions, do-not-call requirements, and withdrawal of consent.
If you opt in to marketing texts, message frequency varies based on your inquiry and the program described at opt-in. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw permission at any time:
- Texts: reply STOP to a message, or email us with the number you want removed. Other reasonable requests to stop are also accepted. For help, reply HELP or contact our support email.
- Calls: tell our representative or email us to request no further marketing calls to your number.
- Email: use the unsubscribe option in a marketing email or reply asking to unsubscribe.
You may also email support@carportenergygroup.com to change your communication preferences. We honor opt-out requests within the time required by law. We may retain a limited record of your request so we can continue to respect it. A marketing opt-out does not prevent necessary, legally permitted responses to a new request you make.
5. When we share information
We share information with providers that help us operate the website, manage inquiries, deliver communications, or provide professional support, as needed to perform those services on our behalf. They are not authorized to use that information for their own unrelated marketing.
We use leads for Carport Energy Group’s own follow-up. We do not sell personal information or share leads with Topvolt or other companies for their own marketing or independent follow-up.
Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Providers helping deliver our messages may process this information only on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable privacy protections.
6. Website services, cookies, and Meta
The current website does not use a Meta Pixel or advertising analytics tags. Hosting and security services may use cookies or similar technology to deliver the site and prevent abuse. After a successful assessment submission, a short-lived cookie lets us display a receipt confirmation without putting your personal information in the page address. Staff sign-in uses authentication cookies to protect the lead inbox. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which sends your browser’s request information, including its IP address, to Google. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary cookies may affect site access.
Facebook and Instagram process information on their own services under Meta’s Privacy Policy. When you submit one of our lead forms on those services, Meta provides your submitted information to us. Links to Topvolt or other websites take you to services governed by their own policies. This policy does not grant permission for future tracking; if our practices change, we will update our disclosures and obtain consent where required.
7. Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, considering the status of your inquiry or project, our relationship with you, legal recordkeeping requirements, and any dispute or consent records. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal obligations and limited records needed to honor opt-outs.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other locations where they operate.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information you have provided by emailing support@carportenergygroup.com. Include enough detail for us to identify your inquiry, but do not send sensitive identity documents in your initial message.
Depending on your state of residence and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights to know or access information, obtain a portable copy, correct or delete information, and opt out of certain processing. Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent or appeal a decision by replying to our response. We may need to verify your identity or an agent’s authority and may retain information where legally permitted or required. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
9. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adult business and property representatives, not children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps to remove it.
10. Changes and contact
We will post policy updates on this page and revise the effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required. Questions, privacy requests, and communication opt-outs can be sent to:
